Ski Team Telford Training
At the heart of our race training programme is the coaching we provide on our home slope in Telford.

Head Coach Neil Holland oversees the development of all of our members right from new members who have just progressed from the Telford & Wrekin Council’s own Saturday morning White Tigers sessions up to the athletes selected to join our Race Team. He is joined on the coaching team by a wealth of experienced race coaches including Charlie, Clare, Nigel and Rob

New members initially hone their general skiing skills in one of the intermediate classes and as their abilities are enhanced they move through into race development classes.
On the first Wednesday of each month, a timings session is held and all results are recorded, posted and analysed to ensure our members are continuing their development.

In addition to this Ski Team Telford also organise and run specialist race training camps both at Telford and Chill Factore.
Indoor Snow Training
Ski Team Telford offers its members regular indoor snow race training sessions alongside our specialist two and three-day training camps. Coaching is with our usual coaches.

With regular training sessions at Chill Factore, one of Britain’s best indoor snow facilities, Ski Team Telford provides its racers with the opportunity to progress their racing careers.

The summer race calendar now boasts many indoor events and Ski Team Telford provides full race support for our racers at these meetings.
Alpine Training
Based in Alpbach, Austria Ski Team Telford also organises its own Alpine training programme, thus providing our athletes with the opportunity to continue their development under the watchful eye of one single coaching system.
Coaches organise training blocks which consist of free skiing, technical drills, gate and stubby training in slalom and Giant Slalom (GS), all of which is supplemented with video analysis and fitness work.
It is important to note the high levels of support given to us by everyone in Alpbach, not least that Alpbach Aktiv, who continually surprise and amaze us with their incredible levels of support, assistance and willingness to ensure an incredible winter training programme.
Our Alpine programme is open to members of Ski Team Telford only.
